HVAC Project Manager

A long established and well respected service contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager I to join their team. The organization employs skilled engineers, technicians, sales, operations, and support staff who focus on delivering high quality service. Centralized support allows field teams to concentrate on solving problems and ensuring customer comfort and satisfaction.

Position Summary

The Project Manager I is responsible for organizing, managing, and executing small to medium sized projects from development through completion. This role ensures projects meet contractual requirements, achieve gross profit objectives, and are delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle execution of assigned projects.
• Conduct cost analysis, prepare budgets, and manage equipment and material utilization.
• Lead interdepartmental teams and coordinate with field staff, finance, sales, and marketing.
• Maintain clear communication with internal teams, customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Perform risk assessments, recommend mitigation strategies, and resolve disputes or claims.
• Serve as liaison to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain strong external partnerships.
• Requisition, negotiate, and audit subcontracts.
• Identify out of scope work and prepare RFIs and Change Order Requests.
• Support sales and marketing with project information and training.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
• Proven leadership and delegation abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Procore project management software.
• Experience in HVAC, construction, engineering, or related industries.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
• Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
• Experience working in a cross functional matrix environment.
• PMP, PgMP, CAPM, or similar certifications highly desirable.
