Senior Bottom Team ManagerSan Antonio Shoemakers (SAS), a San Antonio, Texas based, privately held company, has been in business for 50 years and has developed a reputation as a premier American manufacturer of high-quality comfort footwear. SAS is seeking a Bottom Team Manager. This position is responsible for leading the Bottom team to build new shoe bottom components and to perform additional support duties as assigned within the department.Primary DutiesInterpret design sketches into 2D/3D CAD drawingsLead, supervise, and manage bottoming teamReview BP and 3D models and provide feedback to mold shopsGrade and commercialize bottom parts into full size runsDraft lasts to build gauges for bottom creationHelp with deliveries and packagingLead the team for sample model making needsManage model shop to create handmade prototypes, fast molds and production toolsLead in detailing and creation of moldsReceive, approve, and make adjustments to new moldsLead in building tools and equipment for manufacturing teamPurchase, receive, and inventory molds and diesComplete administrative tasks related to managing the bottom teamOrganize product samplesOther tasks as assignedJob QualificationsComputer assisted drawing (CAD) experience/knowledgeRhino and Solid Works 3D softwareAdobe Creative Cloud packages (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)Ability to read and draft 2 D blueprintsMicrosoft Office experience to include Outlook, Word, and ExcelExperience in managing a teamGood organizational skillsAble to work independently with or without constant supervision with solid follow through.SAS is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
