Deskside Support Technician Associate

Deskside Support Team MemberDeskside Support team is looking for the newest member of our team to assist with equipment logistics, imaging, asset management, and basic hardware support, freeing up our technicians to focus on their primary duties. This is an entry-level opportunity for a tech-savvy, organized, and dependable individual looking to build a foundation in IT.Job Summary:Sets up equipment for training sessions and events as neededTears down and returns equipment for training sessions and events once completeImages new workstations for use by all techniciansContacts users to schedule and issue equipment upon requestAssists with asset management, including recycling and issuing equipmentDelivers new hire equipment to end usersHelps organize and track IT assets to maintain accurate records of equipment location and statusAssists with troubleshooting hardware issues when equipment needs repairAssists with floor-level hardware issues such as broken keyboards, mice, monitors, and docking stationsMaintains inventory logs and performs periodic physical audits of IT storage areasMaintains stock of equipment and supplies in the IT storage room, restocking as necessary when levels run lowPerforms basic cable management and organization at end-user desksPerforms drive cloning to upgrade users hard drives when additional storage space is neededAssists with Windows 11 upgrades on existing workstations following documented proceduresDelivers a high level of customer service when interacting with end users during deliveries and equipment exchangesMaintains strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing assets and inventoryMaintaining or updating simple how-to guides/checklist for common setup tasksLogging basic ticket updates or status notes in your ticketing system for tasks completeMay shadow senior technicians on basic troubleshooting to build foundational support knowledgeFollows instructions as necessary to complete tasks and assignmentsEducation:High school diploma or equivalent requiredA+ Certification preferredExperience:Entry level position, 0 to 2 years of experiencePhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 40 lbsEEO: "Mindlance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of – Minority/Gender/Disability/Religion/LGBTQI/Age/Veterans."
