Primary Purpose CNA Corporation is hiring for an intern in the Strategic Initiatives / Communications team for Summer 2027. This internship is located in Arlington, VA, near Washington, DC, and is part of Strategic Initiatives (SIN). SIN is a team dedicated to establishing CNA as an intellectual influencer across the national and homeland security landscape. CNA's Office of Communications within SIN manages CNA's internal and external communications efforts. The team is seeking an enthusiastic summer Intern to assist with supporting the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives, Senior Advisor for Strategic Development, and Communications Manager in alignment with select campaigns, event planning and execution, business development efforts, supporting the CNA.org website, writing, editing, and organizing communications content. We are looking for creative and innovative individuals to help carry out our mission. Job Description And/Or Duties Provide support to internal stakeholders in alignment with select campaigns. Assist with planning and executing in-person and hybrid events to include drafting invitations, tracking RSVP lists, and drafting read-ahead materials, etc. Assist with pulling together marketing materials and slide decks for meetings with external stakeholders and cross-company business development opportunities. Provide logistical support as needed (notetaking, managing a tracker of activities, communicating with internal stakeholders). Write articles for the CNA internal newsletter. Collaborate with researchers and other staff to keep the website up to date. Help organize communications content. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education: Must be in junior or final year of bachelor’s degree or recently graduated from with bachelor’s degree. Experience: Experience with event planning and execution, communications or journalism, and business development is preferred, but not required. Skills: Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); strong oral and written communication skills, critical thinking and organizational skills, and a high degree of professionalism are required. Remote/Hybrid Work Eligibility: The intern will be required to be in the office at least 3 days a week, with additional days in the office as needed to support in-person events.
