About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required, will consider candidates with 1.5 years of experience depending on qualifications. License: Valid compact license required. Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BCLS, NRP. Must-Have: Must have expert experience and be able to perform sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision. Must be open to working weekends and likely exceed every other weekend to meet unit needs. Scheduling preferences can be considered but are not guaranteed. Travelers may be expected to float between similar units. Description: The position requires skilled nursing care in a Labor and Delivery unit. Candidates must be able to perform sterile vaginal exams and triage. Experience with the Epic charting system is required. The patient ratio for the shift is 1:2. All candidates must have the required certifications listed. Prior travel experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Candidates will be expected to assist with high-risk deliveries and provide comprehensive care to patients. Every other weekend work is mandatory, and additional shifts may be required. The unit provides care for neonates, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on labor and delivery services. The ideal candidate will have experience with various labor complications, including preeclampsia and multiple births. Interdisciplinary support will be available in the unit.
