Nursing Assistant

Performs basic patient monitoring activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities: Remains at bedside of assigned patient at all times unless relieved by an appropriate staff member. Assists in calming and/or reorienting patient in cases of agitation or confusion. Removes visible hazards and/or broken equipment from immediate environment and reports as appropriate. Records all observations.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Crisis Prevention preferred.
• Education: - High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
