Summary This position is located with USDA, ARS, Plains Area, National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility, Operation, Biologics Development Module, in Manhattan, KS. In this position, you will provide technical, procedural, clerical, and program and coordination support for the Biologics Development Module (BDM). Qualifications and Requirements Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. GS-07 Specialized experience: experience assisting in coordinating administrative support projects or programs; drafting correspondence on research activities and progress; and assisting with review of financial plans or reports such as budgets and agreements. Education: 1 full year of graduate level education. Related degrees may include Business Management, Business Administration, or Accounting. Superior Academic Achievement (SAA): completion of a bachelor's degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher for all completed undergraduate courses, or 3.5 or higher in major, or rank in the upper one‑third of the class, or membership in a national honor society. Or a combination of specialized experience and education as described above. GS-09 Specialized experience: experience coordinating administrative support projects or programs; preparing and reviewing correspondence and analytical reports on research activities and progress; and preparing financial plans or reports such as budgets and agreements. Education: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher‑level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Related degrees may include Business Management, Business Administration, or Accounting. Or a combination of specialized experience and education as described above. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
