HVAC Technician

Pearce offers technical maintenance, repair, operations, and engineering services for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, backup power generators, battery energy storage systems (BESS), critical cooling systems, and related electrical and mechanical infrastructure. Your Impact Pearce is seeking Experienced HVAC Technicians to service and repair commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters located on cell‑tower sites. The role requires a self‑directed, highly motivated professional who is willing to travel and eager to learn and grow within the telecom industry. The position is regional; candidates should reside in the Raritan, New Jersey area. Core Responsibilities Maintain cooling systems – diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, install, or replace components of entire HVAC systems. Conduct performance checks and perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment. Perform additional maintenance or upgrades on out‑of‑season HVAC equipment. Respond to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call‑out services. Complete daily work reports accurately and timely. Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and in compliance with Pearce policies and insurance requirements. Core Experience and Qualifications Must hold Level 2 or Universal EPA Certification (Required). At least 3 years of HVAC maintenance experience, preferably in a commercial setting. Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components, including refrigeration systems. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to comply with OSHAFCC/FAA/EPA safety standards. Willingness to travel extensively; ability to work independently; availability for after‑hours, weekend, and occasional overnight call‑outs; eligibility to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical test. Must reside in the Raritan, New Jersey area. Compensation Hourly rate: $27.00–$38.00, depending on qualifications and experience (DOE). In addition to wages, eligible employees may receive performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, a company vehicle, per diem, and other applicable compensation.
