Facilities Manager

$35 - $45 per hour

Job Overview Temporary– Assignment expected to last up to 1 year. Position Function Under the general supervision of the VP, Compliance Officer, the Facilities & Security Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and administering all aspects of the Bank’s Security Program and for overseeing building maintenance and upkeep related to properties, facilities, office service operations and maintenance by working with vendors, contractors, and agencies. Facilities The Facilities & Security Officer selects, contracts, and directs the activities/services of third‑party vendors engaged in the installation and maintenance of equipment, utilities, care, and efficient operations across all facilities to maintain a suitable and safe working environment. Responsible for the security, general upkeep, and maintenance of Savers Bank properties to ensure they reflect the company’s Simply Better image. Ensures properties meet legal and regulatory requirements as well as health and safety standards, keeps abreast of ADA rules and requirements, and makes necessary adjustments to ensure compliance. Regularly inspects properties to determine the need for maintenance, repairs, or renovations (office buildings, out‑buildings, parking lots, equipment, etc.). Plans, schedules, and coordinates all maintenance and refurbishments at all Savers Bank locations (includes cleaning services and landscape maintenance). Maintains a budget for maintenance, repairs, refurbishments, renovations, and other similar services. Manages upkeep and inspections of building equipment on the property (generators, elevators, HVAC, furnishings, etc.). Performs general maintenance when a vendor is not necessary (lights, artwork, basic plumbing and electrical issues). Schedules and manages specialty work on Savers Bank properties to meet organizational and associate needs (includes bid procurement when prudent). Coordinates renovation projects for new and existing buildings with project managers, contractors and internal stakeholders to align with organizational goals and standards. Oversees tenant‑occupied bank owned properties; coordinates with third‑party property management to ensure proper maintenance, lease compliance and positive tenant relations. May be responsible for changing locks on foreclosed houses, ensuring mechanicals are working properly and contracting subcontractors as needed. Manages the company vehicle, schedules maintenance, and maintains accurate usage and service records. Qualifications and Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in facilities management, security management, or a related field. Certified Facility Manager (CFM) preferred. Facilities management professional with 7+ years of building maintenance and project management experience. Strong knowledge of building systems and security, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing with emphasis on HVAC. Ability to manage a complex workload with a good technical understanding of building services and security solutions. Understanding of ADA, OSHA, building codes and security compliance regulations. Demonstrated ability to run a successful maintenance department. Experience managing third‑party vendors and service contracts. Prior experience in physical security or law enforcement a plus. Valid driver’s license required. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong planning, organizational and leadership skills. Ability to read and understand blueprints, floor plans and technical specifications. Knowledge of physical security principles and emergency preparedness. Ability to assess risk and implement preventive measures. The Key Physical Demands For This Role Hand dexterity and eye coordination required to operate computer and/or related equipment. Ability to travel to and move around the bank, between branch locations, balconies, or floors while performing duties. Sitting at a desk or computer workspace for long periods of time. Must frequently lift/carry items up to 25 pounds, and sometimes up to 50 pounds. Must be able to kneel, bend, twist, and stretch while performing minor repairs. Salary $35.00 – $45.00 per hour.
