Service Technician - CDL Required

AmeriGas - Service Technician AmeriGas, AmeriGas Propane, Inc., a Drug Free Workplace, seeks a Service Technician at its Garner, NC, location (Requisition Number: 29414). The role involves installation and repair of propane tanks for residential and commercial customers, delivering bulk or canister propane, and ensuring safe operation following federal, state, and company policies. Responsibilities Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom along provided service routes Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers Perform delivery representative functions, including delivering bulk or canister propane Adhere to all federal and state codes, regulations, and AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures Use required Personal Protective Equipment consistently Work shifts of 8 to 12 hours per day, depending on fluctuating needs Benefits Home every day 17 PTO days plus 7 paid holidays $5,000 sign‑on bonus Ongoing safety incentives Career advancement opportunities and annual performance reviews Uniforms provided Year‑round medical coverage available, as well as 401(k) with company match, propane discount year‑round, paid holidays, and paid vacation Requirements Valid class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements Acceptable driving record Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test and background check Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to lift up to 70 lbs Compensation Pay ranges from $32.00 to $33.00 per hour, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and market data. Additional compensation may include eligibility to earn a performance‑based bonus or commissions on completed sales.
