Activities Assistant Director

As an Activities Assistant Director at Brookside Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, you will play a vital role in creating a lively and engaging environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. Ensconced on seven beautifully landscaped acres in Roslyn, Pennsylvania, our state-of-the-art post-acute care facility offers a unique blend of services and a homelike atmosphere that fosters a sense of community and connection.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement activities programs that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents, including social events, arts and crafts, entertainment, and outdoor activities
• Lead and mentor a team of activities staff to ensure excellent customer service, high-quality programs, and a positive work environment
• Collaborate with therapists and other healthcare professionals to design and implement activities that support individualized care plans and promote rehabilitation and recovery
• Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations, vendors, and volunteers to enhance our activities programs and services
• Maintain accurate records of activities participation, resident feedback, and program evaluations
Requirements:
• 0+ years of experience in activities or recreation therapy, with a strong background in program development and leadership
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and families
• Ability to work varying shifts , including evenings and weekends, as needed
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
