Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: ER RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: License required for submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC preferred Must-Have: Recent experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center Description: The position is for an Emergency Room registered nurse. Candidates must have the required certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC. Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center is necessary. The unit operates with a fast pace and high acuity. Nurses will be required to read and interpret telemetry strips. There will be a charge nurse present on each shift. The nurse-to-patient ratio will vary depending on the area within the emergency department. The department has designated fast track and triage areas for patient care. Security is in-house 24/7 and stationed in the emergency department. The job may require floating to the Observation unit and freestanding emergency services. Additional time off requests beyond the initial submission will not be approved. Candidates must adhere to policies regarding artificial nails and examination requirements during orientation. The position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to manage multiple critical cases. This role is integral to providing timely and effective emergency care. Candidates should be prepared for flexible scheduling based on department needs, including weekends and holidays. Daily clinical responsibilities will include assessing and managing patient care in emergency situations. Teamwork and communication skills are essential for collaborating with colleagues in a high-stress environment.
