Inpatient Geriatric Psychiatry Opportunity – Troy, NY Quick Screening Snapshot

Location: Troy, New York
Position Type: Full-time, inpatient geriatric psychiatrist
Unit: 20-bed Geriatric Psychiatry Unit
Schedule: Full-time inpatient, typical daytime hours (exact times not specified)
Call: 1:6 weekend rotation
Start Date: Immediate

Licensure & Credentialing Requirements

Board Certification: Required OR truly Board Eligible (Psychiatry)
Board Status: Must be current (no lapsed certification accepted)
State License: New York license required or ability to obtain
DEA: Required

Candidate Requirements

Experience or strong interest in geriatric psychiatry preferred
Not accepting locum candidates
Not open to visa sponsorship

Clinical Role Overview

Provide inpatient psychiatric care for geriatric patients
Collaborate with Clinical Coordinator/Social Worker trained in geriatric psychiatry
Work within multidisciplinary team: therapists, counselors, case managers, psychiatrists, nurse practitioners
Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care addressing medical, psychiatric, and social needs
Coordinate with system-level behavioral health leadership and resources
Maintain a stable, full-time psychiatrist presence on the Geriatric-Psychiatry unit

$25,000 starting bonus
