Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) position on the day shift at a medical facility in Margate, Florida. This role involves supporting cardiac surgical procedures within a CVOR setting, requiring proficiency in ACLS and BLS, as well as experience in all service lines related to cardiac surgery. The candidate must be capable of multi-tasking and functioning effectively in a high-pressure environment. The position offers a collaborative team environment dedicated to providing excellent patient care.

Job Details:

• Location: 2801 North State Road 7, Margate, FL 33063
• Position: CVOR Cardiac Surgery Certified Surgical Technologist (CVOR CST)
• Shift: Day shift, 8 hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/03/2026
• Certifications and Experience: Valid ACLS and BLS certifications; 2 years current experience in an acute Operating Room (OR) setting; proficiency in all service lines; ability to scrub and assist in all surgical procedures listed below; knowledge of Meditech electronic medical records system.
• Procedures and Surgical Types: Support for joint replacement, ENT, orthopedic, spine, urology, vascular, podiatry, thoracic surgery, and plastic surgery procedures.
• Additional Details: On-call responsibilities are split and dependent on staffing; rotating weekends may be required.
• Dress Code: OR scrubs provided by the unit.
• Typical Procedures Performed on Unit: Vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, ENT, urology, plastic, and other surgical specialties excluding CVOR (robotics, spine, GYN).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven proficiency in all surgical specialties except cardiovascular surgery (robotics, orthopedics, spine, GYN).
• Excellent charting abilities, critical thinking skills, and bedside manner.
