Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)WorkFit Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a variety of clinical settings, including rehabilitation facilities and outpatient clinics, providing essential support to physical therapists in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients.Your role will include assisting in implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring that patients receive high-quality care and education about their rehabilitation exercises and goals.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the administration of physical therapy treatments as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist.Monitor patients' responses to treatment and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist.Educate patients and their families on exercises and activities to support their recovery.Document patients' progress and maintain accurate records for the physical therapy department.Maintain and clean therapy equipment to ensure a safe and effective treatment environment.Requirements:Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license in New York State.Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.Experience in a rehabilitation or healthcare setting preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Knowledge of physical therapy modalities and therapeutic exercises.CPR certification is strongly preferred.
