Job Summary:
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) role is based in Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing specialized, family-centered care to critically ill and injured pediatric patients within a state-of-the-art unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The role encompasses managing complex medical and surgical cases in a high-acuity environment, requiring a strong focus on child safety and family support.

Job Details:

• Location: Madison, WI
• Schedule: Evening/Night shift, 12 hours per shift, Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Wisconsin RN license or a compact RN license, at least 3 years of experience in a high-acuity hospital, including a minimum of 2 years in pediatric intensive care, and at least 1 year of cardiovascular experience. Additional certifications include American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong pediatric ICU experience and CVICU experience.
• Additional Information: Use of Epic electronic medical records system and passing a telemetry exam prior to start are required. The role involves managing a wide array of critical procedures and monitoring pediatric patients with complex medical conditions, including neuro, cardiac, and respiratory issues.
