Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed ionizing irradiation to patients according to prescriptions and physician instructions
- Verify prescription, diagnosis chart, and patient identification; confirm treatment plan accuracy
- Explain procedures to patients, establish communication during treatment, and support patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment room and equipment, including immobilization devices; transfer patient to treatment couch with attention to patient needs
- Deliver prescribed daily dose while observing radiation safety measures for patient and staff
- Monitor patients for unusual reactions or developing complications; report findings to supervisor and department physician
- Maintain treatment records, review patient charts, and ensure proper documentation of blood counts and related reports
- Provide clinical supervision and evaluate students’ practical abilities when applicable
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements
- ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) registration/license required
- Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (TRT) required
- Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred
- At least two years of recent experience in radiologic technology
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred; state-specific licensure as required by the assignment (current nursing license per the state of assignment)
- Fluoroscopy permit from the state of practice preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital setting in Marysville, CA
