Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU/PICU experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a smaller community hospital in Plymouth, MA.

Details

• Respiratory Therapy department at a smaller, slower-paced community hospital setting
• NICU and PICU patient population
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• 36 hours per week
• No floating required
• EMR experience strongly preferred
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current MA Respiratory Therapist license required if applicable
• RRT credential required
• Active AHA BLS certification required
• NRP certification required
• AHA ACLS preferred
• NICU and/or PICU experience required
• Ability to draw arterial blood gases (ABGs) required
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, diagnostic testing, prescribed respiratory treatment and care, evaluating treatment effectiveness, and maintaining department records
• The facility operates at a slower pace but requires the ability to respond quickly when triage situations arise, as critical patients are stabilized and transferred to the main hospital
• Orientation is held on a biweekly basis
• Pass/fail testing required: Telemetry/ECG and Medication Test
• COVID vaccine and booster required; flu vaccine required during flu season — medical exemptions are accepted
• Candidates who have worked at any Beth Israel Lahey Health facility (travel, permanent, or per diem) must have a minimum 6-month break before being considered
• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of consideration
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
