Job Description Job Description CNC Mill & Lathe Setup Operator We are hiring an experienced CNC Setup Operator for a precision machining facility specializing in aerospace and defense components. This is a hands-on role requiring strong setup and operation skills on both mill and lathe equipment. What You'll Do: Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes - primarily Mazak equipment Read and interpret blueprints, planning sheets, and technical data Load, edit, and proof programs; hand-edit as needed to correct errors Select and mount tooling, set speeds, feeds, and cutting depth Inspect parts using micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges Maintain SPC charts when required Produce CNC programs in less complex situations using CAM software Keep work area, machines, and tooling clean and properly maintained What We're Looking For: Minimum 4 years of CNC setup and operation experience Mazak experience required Proficiency on both mill and lathe Ability to read blueprints and work from technical documentation Experience with precision measuring instruments CAM programming experience a plus Aerospace or defense manufacturing background a plus Trade school or vocational training preferred
