Job Overview:

Pay Range: $16.00hr - $21.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

• Ability to examine and feel surface of work piece for defects.
• Ability to select grade of abrasive belt, wheel, or disk according to specifications and knowledge of abrasives.
• Ability to replace worn abrasive disks, wheels, and belts.
• Willingness to maintain a safe and organized workstation and follow all company policy, safety, and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize a large swing grinder and/or small hand grinder to condition parts for defect removal.
• Grind and smooth surfaces of parts prior to finishing operations.
• Remove defects and sharp edges from work pieces.
• Operate grinder and move it over surface of work piece to remove scratches, laminated metal, excess weld material, and burs.
• Polish ground areas with finer abrasive to produce smooth, unmarred surfaces.

• No education required.

Physical Requirements(Due to nature of job, The candidate must have):

• Ability to move grinder over surface of work piece.
• Ability to feel surface of work piece for defects.
