divh2Equipment Operator/h2pThe Equipment Operator operates motorized riding equipment within the Distribution Center, manually loads and/or unloads trailers, moving merchandise to designated areas and putting away or pulling merchandise. Outfitter will be cross trained in other departments as needed and may be asked to carry out special projects./ppEssential Functions:/pulliRepetitive lifting up to 50 lbs./liliOperates motorized riding equipment./liliLoads or unloads trailers by hand, i.e. up to and including, grills, tree stands, safes, kayaks, etc./liliTransports product to appropriate staging areas or processing areas./liliLoads outbound trailers./liliRoutes received merchandise to storage area and provides positive identification./liliUses scanners to read bar codes on labels and product./liliOperates equipment which includes working in storage racking as high as 30 ft./liliPerforms safety checks./liliAssists in daily cleanup duties./liliRoutinely and consistently drives equipment 75% or greater of time in position./liliPerforms manual or physical job duties, based upon DC needs./liliAll Other Duties As Assigned/li/ulpExperience/Qualifications:/pulliMinimum age 18/liliSuccessful completion of a driving test and written test is required./li/ulpKnowledge, Skills, and Ability:/pulliAbility to be machine certified./liliProduction standards and accuracy are especially important aspects of the position that are closely monitored./liliAbility to communicate with fellow employees in a courteous and professional manner and be a team player./liliMust have multitasking skills./liliCommitment to safety rules and procedures./liliAvailability to work a flexible schedule with mandatory overtime, when scheduled./liliAbility to pay close attention to detail and must work well with numbers./liliGood verbal and written communication skills./li/ulpTravel Requirements:/pulliNo travel is required for this role./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliMust be able to meet the physical demands of the job, i.e. repetitive walking, standing, kneeling, bending, stretching, and climbing up and down step ladder for duration of shift and overtime when scheduled./liliMust be able to repetitively lift, push, pull and carry 50 lbs. for duration of shift and overtime when scheduled./liliGood hand-eye coordination./li/ulpWork Environment:/pulliRequired to work indoor in a non-climate-controlled environment./li/ulpIndependent Judgement:/pulliPerforms tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures.
