Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Observation Unit Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 18 months of telemetry/acute care experience required; 2 years preferred. PCU experience required. License: Current nursing license required Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS (must have at time of submission), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start) Must-Have: Strong vasoactive drip experience required Description: Position in the Clinical Decision Unit. This is a 26-week contract position. Candidates must have 18 months of telemetry or acute care experience, with 2 years preferred. PCU experience is required. Strong experience with vasoactive drips is essential. First-time travelers are accepted. Must float within scope to meet facility needs. Travelers should be aware that there are time-sensitive modules that need to be prioritized first once confirmed for an assignment. All time off requests must be included with the initial submission. All travelers must be nicotine-free, with no exceptions. A negative 10-panel drug screen, including a nicotine test, is required. This is a smoke-free facility. The facility is a short-term acute care hospital. Total staffed beds are 332. Charting is done through EPIC. COVID-19 vaccination is required, with medical or religious exemptions only. Flu vaccination is also required, with medical or religious exemptions only. References from two direct supervisors or managers are required. Orientation involves required tests with strict pass/fail criteria, and travelers may be canceled if they fail these tests. Modules are required prior to the start of employment, are non-billable, and typically take 6-15 hours to complete.
