Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health needs of students, creating individualized treatment plans that respect each child's unique background and experiences.
• Deliver both short-term individual counseling and timely crisis intervention services to students dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges.
• Facilitate virtual group therapy sessions and workshops that empower students to share their experiences and learn skills for managing their mental health effectively.
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure an integrative approach to mental wellness, contributing to the child’s overall academic and social success.
• Participate in outreach initiatives aimed at raising mental health awareness within the school community, including workshops, assemblies, and informational sessions for parents.
• Maintain up-to-date, confidential electronic records aligned with HIPAA regulations, ensuring compliance with ethical standards in patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with K-12 students who may face a range of mental health challenges, necessitating an understanding of the educational system, developmental stages, and common psychosocial issues that impact children and adolescents. Your expertise will directly influence their ability to learn, grow, and thrive in a supportive educational environment.

Qualifications

• Active Washington state license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field; advanced degrees preferred.
• Proven ability to engage students and build rapport through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Firm grasp of evidence-based practices suitable for working with young populations.
• Demonstrated capability to manage a diverse caseload in a dynamic virtual setting.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a school setting, understanding the unique mental health needs of students.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and digital mental health tools.
