Personal Banker II

Office Location Abilene, Texas, United States. Scope of Contact Individual has very frequent contact with customers, bank employees, store employees, and other banks. Contact occurs face‑to‑face, by telephone, or through written correspondence. Work results are reviewed and performance is measured against specific goals. Essential Functions Determine customer needs and open or close appropriate retail accounts and IRAs, maintaining all associated records. Complete sales tracking for all customers served. Complete self‑directed sales training within twelve months, including a test. Rent safe deposit boxes to customers, permit access, and maintain rental records. Handle check orders. Support the Customer Service First program and follow established policies and procedures. Participate in periodic travel to Abilene or other Bank Regions for training. Saturday hours and holiday hours may be required based on branch location’s operating hours. Minimum Qualifications College degree or twelve months of customer contact and sales experience. Banking experience preferred. High school diploma or GED. Strong communication and sales skills. Mathematical and general business knowledge typical of a high school graduate. Courteous, professional demeanor and ability to handle multitasks. Commitment to providing outstanding customer service. Knowledge of bank regulations, policies, and procedures preferred. Typing proficiency of 45 words per minute accurately. Proficiency with 10‑key by touch, and experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work flexible and extended hours as business requires. Periodic travel to Abilene or other Bank Regions for training is required. Saturday hours and holiday hours may be required based on branch location’s operating hours.
