Cibolo Creek Ranch is a historic ranch resort in the Big Bend region of West Texas, near Marfa. Three restored 19th-century forts, communal Spanish-style dining, a sporting and hunting heritage, and thousands of acres of high desert. What we are building is a standard of hospitality worthy of the setting. Genuine, anticipatory, personal service of the kind that turns a first-time guest into a guest for life. We are on a deliberate climb toward Forbes Five-Star, and exceptional hospitality is the engine that gets us there. We are looking for a Resort Manager who lives for that work. Someone who owns the guest experience inside the resort end to end, from the moment a guest reaches the gate to the last course at dinner, and who treats every touch point as a chance to create something excellent. What you will own You are accountable for the resort guest experience and the team that delivers it. Rooms and housekeeping. Hold the condition and cleanliness standard across every key. You will partner with a talented housekeeping leader already on our team and help her reach the next level. Developing her is part of the job, not a side note. Front of house service. You own the front of house: bar, dining room, and service staff. The kitchen reports to the General Manager, and you will partner closely with our chef to curate the dining experience together. The first drink and the service at the table are yours to set and hold. Front desk and reservations. The arrival, the greeting, the booking, and the close-out. First impressions live here, and so does the integrity behind them: accurate folios, clean billing, no guest leaving with a balance. Events. You are the single accountable owner of event execution and the main point of contact alongside the General Manager. You coordinate every department toward one flawless result. Activities. In the near term you will help us build this function from the ground up, including booking and scheduling standards. A dedicated activities manager will join before our fall season and will report to you initially. Purchasing. Resort requisition and ordering through our approval-tiered systems, with the General Manager as the final approval authority. Departments bring their needs to you. Scheduling, overtime, and payroll verification. Build and hold the resort schedule, track overtime, and confirm hours before handoff to our accounting team. Who you are A seasoned hospitality professional with a strong record in rooms, front office, or front of house service at a recognized luxury or upscale property. A developer of people first. You build the talent under you rather than doing their jobs for them. If we ask you to tell us about someone you developed who went on to pass you, you have an answer. Systems-minded. You bring order, SOPs, and accountability where they are missing, and you do it without crushing the people already in place. Hands-on and present. You are on the floor at the morning turn and again at the dinner service. You lead by being there. Comfortable in a remote setting and energized by a property with history and ambition. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish. This is a requirement, not a preference. Our team and our service depend on it. What we offer A competitive base salary, commensurate with experience.
