Role Responsibilities

• Assess patients of various ages using both standardized evaluative methods and subjective observation.
• Create individualized treatment programs focused on short-term objectives and long-term speech, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver dedicated speech therapy sessions that enhance communication, language proficiency, fluency, vocal quality, and swallowing functions.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, family members, and caregivers to devise cohesive care plans.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic strategies to promote progress in everyday life.
• Conduct occasional inpatient therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a smooth treatment transition for patients.
• Maintain precise and timely patient records following state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities and peer collaborations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if unaccredited by ASHA.

Required Credentials

• State licensure to practice as a Speech Language Therapist .
• ASHA certification preferred (CCC-SLP).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
