CSLP Student Worker - Distribution Assistant (FWS - CSLP)

Community Service Literacy Program Student WorkerGrand Canyon University (GCU) maintains relationships with nonprofit organizations identified by the IRS as 501(c)(3) by virtue of their charitable programs. The collective mission of 501(c)(3) organizations in the Phoenix Valley is to improve the quality of life for community residents or to solve particular problems related to those residents' needs.GCU maintains a partnership with City Hope Arizona located at 1640 W. Camelback Road, Phoenix, AZ, 85015. City Hope Arizona provides food, clothing, and hygiene products to those in need. The CSLP student worker's work schedule is dependent on the hours of operations and needs of City Hope Arizona; however, CSLP student workers may not work more than 20 hours per week during the academic year (i.e., fall/spring).As an FWS-CSLP approved position, its services will be offered to non-GCU community members (i.e., local residents).Note: All FWS and FWS-CSLP positions require applicants to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at to be reviewed for FWS-eligibility and awarded FWS.Primary Responsibilities /Accountabilities/ Essential Functions:Restock products.Clean, organize, and maintain the facility.Unload box trucks (occasionally).Assist as needed.Equipment Used and Responsibility:MS Office SuiteQualifications:Have passion and willingness to help others succeed.Possess strong ethics, integrity, and sense of responsibility.Previous Mentoring a plus.Ability to speak a second language a plus.Must have reliable transportation.Experience/Education:Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program.Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.Pay Rate: Minimum WageAnticipated End Date: June 30, 2027
