Job Title: Warehouse Associate

Pay: $18 - 20/hr

Shift: First (1st) shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm, Monday - Friday

Job Description

The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in supporting public transit operations by receiving, organizing, and distributing mechanical parts and supplies for maintenance teams. This position ensures that mechanics receive the right parts on time to keep transit vehicles running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments of mechanical and transit-related parts.
• Accurately pick, pack, and stage parts for delivery to maintenance facilities.
• Maintain organized inventory within the warehouse, including labeling and storage of parts.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
• Prepare delivery manifests and ensure timely dispatch of orders to mechanics and job sites.
• Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
• Coordinate with drivers and logistics staff to ensure efficient delivery routes.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant warehouse environment following OSHA guidelines.
• Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or inventory shortages to supervisors promptly.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in picking, packing, and material handling.
• Experience with RF scanners and inventory management.
• Ability to operate a forklift and pallet jack (certification required for forklifts).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic warehouse setting utilizing various technologies and equipment such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, and forklifts. Adhere to OSHA guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant workplace. The position requires effective coordination with logistics and delivery teams.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Bridgewater, MA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in West Bridgewater,MA.
