Under the administrative supervision of the Program Director or designee, this position is responsible for providing psychosocial, rehabilitation and recovery-oriented services for adults. This is an at-will direct service position within a program. The position is responsible for counseling and aiding clients and families requiring assistance dealing with substance abuse problems, such as alcohol or drug abuse. Functions as a Personal Service Coordinator for a case load of dually diagnosed clients.

Essential duties and responsibilities include assisting clients to identify and progress toward their chosen goals, advocating for clients in all areas of treatment, providing prompt intervention in the event of a crisis, interviewing clients, reviewing records, and conferring with other professionals. The position also involves formulating programs for treatment and rehabilitation of clients, including facilitation of support groups, counseling clients individually and in group sessions, counseling family members, referring clients to other support services, monitoring client conditions, preparing and maintaining reports and case histories, formulating and conducting programs to promote prevention of alcohol and drug abuse, safely transporting clients using personal vehicle, and providing support and training for other staff members.

Minimum qualifications and certifications include a CADAC license, varied experience working with dually diagnosed adults, a California driver's license, current vehicle insurance/registration, and reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection.
