Our Freight Division is a trusted provider to the Department of Defense (DoD), specializing in high-security shipments, heavy machinery, and oversized loads critical to the American Warfighter.

• Position: Logistics Coordinator
• Location: Westerville, OH
• Experience: 3+ years preferred

Working on-site in Westerville, OH, you will manage the daily movement of specialized freight. We are looking for an individual who embodies our core values to move high-stakes cargo—specifically military and oversized equipment—using Adcock’s specialized company assets or our elite network of highly vetted providers.

• Coordinate Shipments: Plan and monitor routes for specialized, heavy-haul, and military freight across the U.S. using our private fleet, with an unwavering commitment to safety.
• Fleet Dispatch: Efficiently dispatch our 80+ specialized power units, maximizing utilization and minimizing deadhead and out-of-route mileage while ensuring driver safety and compliance.
• Compliance & Permitting: Ensure all asset moves comply with DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and state-specific permits for oversized loads.

• Carrier Sourcing & Negotiation: Source capacity from our highly vetted provider network and negotiate competitive rates to maximize margin while ensuring service quality and a commitment to safety.
• Carrier Vetting & Onboarding: Rigorously evaluate carrier safety ratings, operating authority (MC/DOT), and insurance certificates to maintain a high-standard, compliant provider network.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party carriers, ensuring every partner reflects our high standards for honesty and performance.

• Support the DoD: Handle government paperwork and ensure all shipments (asset and brokered) meet strict military security and reliability standards.
• Superior Service & Visibility: Use GPS, telematics data, and carrier tracking tools to provide constant visibility, delivering proactive updates and professional service to our customers.

• Telematics Expertise: Strong proficiency in platforms like Samsara or Motive . You will use GPS data to monitor driver hours (HOS), create geofences for secure military bases, and track vehicle health to ensure safety on the road.
• Logistics Software: Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and government portals (such as GFM or Syncada ) is preferred.
• Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with flatbed, lowboy, or car-hauling operations.

• Location: Ability to work on-site at our facility in Westerville, OH.
• Experience: 3+ years in logistics or dispatching, with a focus on specialized freight or brokerage.
• Vetting & Compliance: Experience evaluating carrier safety ratings and insurance to maintain a high-standard provider network.
• Communication: Clear, professional communication that reflects our commitment to integrity and service.
• Security: Must be able to pass a background check suitable for handling sensitive DoD cargo.
