School Speech and Language Pathologist | Salinas, California

Step into a rewarding opportunity for the 2025/2026 school year as an in-person Speech-Language Pathologist supporting an energetic elementary student population. This contract assignment is set to begin January 5th and runs through June 12th, engaging you in a single-school setting working primarily with students from Transitional Kindergarten through 2nd grade. You'll enrich the academic and social experiences of a diverse group, including students requiring speech-only support, resource support (RSP), and those in special day classes (SDC).


Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Valid state licensure and credentials for school-based SLP practice
• Previous experience with early elementary students, ideally in TK-2nd grade settings
• Confidence delivering services to general education, RSP, and SDC populations
• Strong skills in assessment, IEP development, and collaborative consultation
• Effective communicator, able to work seamlessly with families, educators, and staff

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations for assigned students
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on IEPs
• Provide direct and consultative speech/language services across Speech-Only, RSP, and SDC students
• Track student progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
• Collaborate closely with teachers, support teams, and parents to promote student growth
• Foster a supportive, inclusive environment for all learners
