We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Auto Internet Sales Director to lead and grow our dealership's Internet and Digital Sales Department. This position is responsible for managing the entire online sales process, improving lead response and appointment conversion, coaching the Internet Sales team, and maximizing sales opportunities from digital leads.

The ideal candidate has proven automotive sales and BDC/Internet Sales experience, strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for developing people and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and motivate the Internet Sales and BDC team.
• Oversee all Internet, website, third-party, phone, chat, and digital sales leads.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve lead response times, appointment setting, show rates, and closing percentages.
• Monitor and manage CRM activity, ensuring all leads are contacted and followed up with consistently.
• Establish and enforce effective follow-up processes and customer communication standards.
• Track key performance indicators and provide regular performance reports to dealership management.
• Coach and train team members on phone skills, email, text messaging, video communication, objection handling, and appointment setting.
• Work closely with Sales Managers and Sales Consultants to ensure a smooth transition from Internet lead to showroom visit and vehicle delivery.
• Monitor lead sources and analyze performance to maximize marketing ROI.
• Assist in developing digital sales strategies, promotions, and online campaigns.
• Ensure pricing, vehicle availability, incentives, and dealership information are communicated accurately to customers.
• Handle escalated customer inquiries and assist in closing difficult or high-value opportunities.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the digital buying experience.
• Collaborate with Marketing and Sales leadership to identify opportunities for increased traffic, leads, appointments, and sales.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, accountability, and customer service.
