Procurement Manager

Location: St. Louis & Ste. Genevieve, MO (must be willing to work at both locations)

The Procurement Manager provides enterprise-wide leadership and drives procurement excellence, supplier performance, cost optimization, and cross-functional alignment across operations, maintenance, engineering, and finance.

Lead procurement activities across multiple company locations, ensuring effective execution of purchasing strategies and processes.

Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships that support cost, quality, delivery, and business continuity objectives.

Oversee the full purchase order lifecycle, including requisitions, sourcing, order placement, expediting, and closeout activities.

Manage, coach, and develop procurement team members while building organizational procurement capabilities and best practices.

Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, contracts, and company guidelines.

Support sourcing initiatives through supplier evaluations, bid processes, contract negotiations, and category management activities.

Partner with inventory management and operations teams to optimize inventory strategies, supplier performance, and total cost of ownership.

Drive continuous improvement through KPI management, process optimization, ERP system utilization, and cross-functional collaboration.

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, contract management, and supplier negotiations.

3+ years of people leadership experience with demonstrated performance management responsibilities.

Experience working with purchasing, inventory management, accounts payable, or ERP systems.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable operational plans and measurable results.

Working knowledge of procurement best practices, inventory management principles, and supplier relationship management.

Experience developing, monitoring, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs).

Knowledge of procurement policies, contract review processes, and compliance requirements.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Experience developing department procedures, driving process improvements, and leading cross-functional initiatives.

High emotional intelligence with the ability to manage competing priorities and navigate complex business relationships.
