Senior Tax Accountant / Tax Manager (CPA Required)
Compensation: $150,000 - $180,000 Base Salary + Bonus Potential
Location: San Jose, CA (Onsite)
We are seeking an experienced CPA to join a respected public accounting firm serving business owners, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals throughout Silicon Valley. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated tax matters, build meaningful client relationships, and provide strategic, year-round tax planning and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of business and individual tax clients
* Prepare and review complex tax returns for:
- S Corporations
- Partnerships
- LLCs
- High-Net-Worth Individuals
* Deliver proactive tax planning and consulting services
* Handle multi-state tax compliance and planning matters
* Advise clients on equity compensation, including RSUs, ISOs, and NQSOs
* Review work prepared by staff accountants and mentor junior team members
* Serve as a trusted advisor and primary client contact
Qualifications
* Active CPA license required
* 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
* Strong technical expertise in pass-through entity taxation
* Experience reviewing tax returns and supervising staff
* Excellent client-facing communication and relationship management skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Multi-state tax experience
* High-net-worth individual tax expertise
* Experience with equity compensation matters, including RSUs, ISOs, and NQSOs
