Job Overview At Maxcess / Valley Roller in Mansfield, TX the Assembler is responsible for the roll disassembly/assembly elements of the manufacturing process. The employee ensures each roll is carefully disassembled and reassembled to meet the customer’s specifications. Main Duties and Responsibilities Read and interpret production schedules, job router cards, blueprints, non-conformance reports and other materials summarizing requirements for the bearing assembly/disassembly process. Document all disassembly and assembly operations. Locate and retrieve rolls to the assembly/disassembly area using overhead cranes and material handling equipment. Disassemble and reassemble Futura Rolls with all customer‑specified parts per OEM specifications. Create a parts list for each job to ensure parts availability at the time of reassembly. Visually inspect all parts and document abnormalities. Create sketches of the general assembly to assist in reassembly, including a list of all parts. Generate incoming inspection reports for customer service to address with the customer and ensure all required parts are ordered and arrive prior to final assembly. Complete incoming inspection forms recording all specific details regarding journal inspections, bearing, and parts inspection. Use overhead cranes, slings, and straps safely per training to lift, shift or move rolls. Qualifications Language Skills Read, write, and understand English. Read mechanical blueprints and interpret technical documents. Write legible documentation conforming to prescribed style and format. Communicate effectively. Mathematical Skills Operate inspection and measurement equipment per procedure and instruction, including Durometer gauges, micrometers, Vernier diameter tapes, dial indicators, profilometers, temperature‑indicating devices, and others as needed. Apply basic math: accurate addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Other Skills Learn and utilize safe operating procedures. Strong reasoning ability. Physical Demands Stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods. Reach by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction. Exert up to 50 pounds of force, and/or 25 pounds of force frequently. Use finger and hand dexterity to manipulate objects. Vision within normal parameters. Hearing within normal range. Coordinate to step over and maneuver around obstacles.
