Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | 3x12 or 4x12 Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit within a short-term acute care hospital setting
• Monitor and manage patients at a 1:6–1:7 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias as identified through telemetry monitoring
• Float within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed to meet staffing requirements
• Attend required staff meetings and complete all assigned onboarding modules prior to start date
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November) as directed

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Every other weekend availability required
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of application; no on-call requirement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Telemetry experience with demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac dysrhythmias
• Experience with management of dysrhythmias in an acute care environment
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records charting system
