About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech‑Language Pathologist to join our team at Children’s Specialized. The role involves assessment, diagnosis, and therapy of speech, language, and communication for children receiving ABA services. The position is ideal for a clinician who enjoys assessment work, values collaboration, and wants to contribute specialized communication expertise to autism evaluations. Responsibilities Assessment and Diagnosis Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations, assessing articulation, fluency, language comprehension, social communication, and pragmatics. Interpret assessment results to develop individualized treatment plans and goals aligned with the client’s needs and ABA objectives. Therapeutic Intervention Implement evidence‑based speech and language therapies, using techniques that promote language acquisition, communication development, and social interaction. Tailor interventions for children with ASD to enhance functional communication and reduce communication‑related challenges. Collaboration and Teamwork Work alongside a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and other clinical professionals to create and adjust treatment plans. Actively participate in team meetings, case reviews, and training to ensure an integrated approach to client care. Documentation and Reporting Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and communication logs. Prepare reports summarizing progress and outcomes to share with parents and stakeholders. Monitor and evaluate client progress and adjust strategies as needed. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current and valid state licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist. At least 2 years of experience in language development, speech sound disorders, feeding/oral‑motor skills, AAC, and working with children with ASD. Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills. Ability to manage a caseload effectively. Work Location & Hours This is an in‑person, part‑time role based out of the Jackson EI Center, with an expected caseload of 10–20 hours per week. Clinical sessions are conducted onsite while notes and documentation can be completed remotely from home. Benefits Up to 5 sick days per year, earned on an accrual basis. Final compensation will be based on skills, education, experience, certifications, and market conditions and is compliant with applicable laws.
