Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our insurance agency. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional service while assisting with policy changes, billing inquiries, claims support, and coverage questions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys helping people, and is committed to building lasting relationships with our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding customer service by phone, email, and in person.
- Assist clients with policy changes, renewals, billing questions, and general account servicing.
- Review insurance coverage with clients and identify opportunities to better protect their assets.
- Process endorsements, certificates of insurance, and policy documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Support clients through the claims process by providing guidance and updates.
- Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system.
- Follow up on pending requests to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with producers and team members to provide a seamless customer experience.
- Stay current on insurance products, agency procedures, and carrier guidelines.
- Meet agency service standards and contribute to client retention efforts.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous customer service experience required; insurance agency experience preferred.
- Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems.
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
