With operations in South Africa, Europe, and North America, we are expanding our U.S. service and production teams and looking for a motivated Field Service and Production Technician to support customers and distributors across the country.

What You'll Do

As a Field Service and Production Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our customers and distributor network by producing, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing lithium-ion battery systems and charging equipment.

Responsibilities include:

• Assemble, commission, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain lithium-ion battery systems and associated charging equipment.
• Execute daily production activities in accordance with production targets, internal procedures, and quality standards.
• Perform quality control inspections and testing, identify deviations or component defects, and assist with corrective actions.
• Support warehouse and inventory activities, including receiving, picking, dispatching, stock control, and maintaining an organised work environment.
• Diagnose electrical, electronic, and basic mechanical faults and assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate production, quality, inventory, and service records and comply with applicable health and safety requirements.
• Travel to customer and distributor locations throughout the United States, as required, to install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair battery systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, remote system monitoring, and technical support for customers and distributors.
• Maintain service tools, spare parts, and company equipment and complete required service documentation.
• Perform other production, operational, and field service duties as reasonably assigned by the line manager.

What We're Looking For

Required

• Technical qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Automotive Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in field environments.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred

• Experience working with industrial equipment, forklifts, battery systems, chargers, power electronics, refrigeration equipment, renewable energy systems, or related technologies.
• Previous production, field service or maintenance experience.
• Experience working directly with customers and end users.
