Registered Nurse (RN) / Emergency Dept - Days

Job Description:

Travel ER RN required to handle all patient levels from ESI 1-5, providing care in a Level III Trauma center, ACC Chest Pain/STEMI center, and Joint Commission Acute Ready Stroke Center. Must quickly triage and assess patients, take care of stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis patients, and perform various clinical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Handle 4-5:1 patient ratio, assuming ESI level 3 average patient
• Perform clinical skills such as PIV, NG/OG tubes, Foley catheters, splinting, wound care
• Assist with art line, central line, and chest tube placement
• Answer call lights and transport patients
• Make calls for psych patient placement during nights and weekends
• Ensure EMTALA paperwork is completed according to guidelines

Requirements:

• At least 2+ years ED RN experience required
• Minimum 1+ year of travel experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required
• Experience in triage, PIV, port access/deaccess, Foley placement, NG/OG placement, wound care, splint/OCL application
• US guided IV experience preferred
