Other duties may be assigned.Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking ordersInforming customers about new beverages and specialsBeing knowledgeable of all menu items, their contents and preparation methods in order to accurately respond to customer questions, make menu recommendations and upsell where appropriateSelecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customersChecking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcoholProviding responsible service of alcoholic beverages, complying with all local, state, and federal liquor laws and food safety regulationsTaking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stockedPreparing and serving menu items according to Fogo de Chao recipes and guidelines, using proper equipment and ingredientsHandling multiple tables and tasks in an efficient manner, cleaning and clearing tablesHandling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.Educating self and assisting co-workers in understanding basic "bar vocabulary", i.e., wine and liquor varieties, types of mixed drinks, etc.Performing all reasonable tasks assigned by managementPhysical DemandsThe employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and stand for prolonged hours. Must have a high level of endurance and mental acuity and toughness to manage conflict and deal successfully with high stress situations.Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance are available for full-time, hourly Team Members on the first of the month following 60 days of employment. Additionally, company-paid Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability are provided where allowed. We offer a comprehensive voluntary benefits package including Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, Accident Coverage, Permanent Life, and Pet Insurance.Part-Time Team Members are offered a Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) Health plan in addition to Dental, Vision, Short-Term Disability, and Life Insurance. Coverage for these plans can start as early as the first of the month following your hire date.
