(USA) Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment Position Summary Skill: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing commercial food equipment. Preventative Maintenance: Develop and adhere to maintenance schedules. Training: Train Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning. Documentation: Manage work orders and maintenance logs. Equipment Serviced Combi ovens, deli slicers, auto meat cutters, fryers, hot cases, ice makers, pizza ovens, rotisserie ovens, thermoglazers, donut cases, four‑bowl warmers, bakery ovens, bread slicers, tortilla makers. Grease and oil systems: oil/water separators, used cooking oil tanks. Trades Utilized Plumbing Electrical Carpentry Material Handling Equipment Maintenance What Success Looks Like Efficiency: Reduced maintenance and repair expenses through effective preventative maintenance and timely repairs. Safety: Ensured safety and proper functionality of all serviced equipment. Training: Store Associates well trained in equipment care and cleaning. Documentation: Accurate and timely completion of work orders and maintenance logs. Customer Satisfaction: High levels of customer service and operational efficiency. Food Safety: Understanding and limiting the risk of cross contamination. Key Responsibilities Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, and food equipment skills. Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document repair activities. Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls. Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues. Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely. Position Requirements 18 years or older. High School Diploma or equivalent. Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time. Can move up and down ladders frequently. Comfortable working at heights frequently. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Able to work in various temperatures. Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record, capable of passing a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report. Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade. Preferred Qualifications Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years. Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years. Mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls. No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years. No serious traffic violations as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years. Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment. Intermediate level proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Minimum Qualifications Option 1: Vocational or technical certification and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area; Option 2: 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area. License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located. Valid state‑issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
