The facility maintains modern surgical equipment and established protocols with dedicated support staff including surgical assistants, technicians, and specialized nursing teams. The hospital requires specialized coverage to maintain continuous cardiothoracic surgical operations and emergency interventions.

The area features outdoor recreational activities including trail experiences with llamas, a zoo, and river-based attractions along the Snake River. Visitors can explore walking paths along the river, specialty museums, and parks throughout the region. Whitewater rafting and scenic boat tours provide water-based recreation options, with tour durations typically ranging from 90 minutes to full-day experiences.

The cardiothoracic surgeon will provide comprehensive 24-hour call coverage from 7 AM to 7 AM managing open heart surgery, CABG, and aortic dissections. The clinician must be competent to cover any adult cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases while maintaining continuous availability for emergency interventions. The position requires daily rounding on all inpatients and 24/7 CVT call coverage with American Board of Thoracic Surgery Certification. The surgeon will collaborate with a dedicated surgical team including first-assistant support and specialized nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
