Job Title

RN – Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool (IMC) – Night Shift

Location

Portland, ME | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Travel Position | Expected 48 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Float every shift across multiple Medical, Surgical, and Cardiology units within an acute care hospital setting
• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry and Intermediate Care (IMC) capacity, adapting to varying unit sizes and patient populations
• Read and interpret telemetry strips accurately as a core clinical requirement
• Operate Abbott Plum Pumps and document patient care using the EPIC EMR system
• Maintain patient ratios of typically 1:5 on nights (with potential stretch to 1:6 based on unit need)
• Complete facility-assigned education modules as part of Day 1 onboarding requirements

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN License in the State of Maine
• BLS Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient acute care hospital experience, including Level 1 Trauma experience in a facility of 500 beds or larger
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing or prior float pool experience
• Must be willing and able to float to multiple units every shift
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS Certification preferred
• 2 or more years of travel nursing experience
• Strong adaptability and flexibility across diverse patient populations and unit environments
