Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / Project Coordinator with a strong background in SRE practices, automation, incident management, change management, and stakeholder coordination.
- The ideal candidate will serve as the Project Point of Contact (POC), supporting project planning, execution, operational activities, documentation, and delivery.
- This role requires a highly organized professional with strong communication, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and project coordination skills.
- The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams, project stakeholders, and business partners to identify issues, drive resolution, track deliverables, and ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Act as the Project Point of Contact (POC) and coordinate project activities across teams and stakeholders.
- Support project planning, execution, tracking, and successful delivery.
- Prepare and provide regular project status updates, reporting, and progress summaries.
- Coordinate and manage change management activities, ensuring appropriate communication, tracking, and documentation.
- Participate in and coordinate incident management activities, including issue tracking, escalation, communication, and resolution.
- Work with technical and business stakeholders to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and drive timely resolution.
- Support automation initiatives, process improvements, and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project, operational, and technical documentation.
- Create and maintain documentation using Microsoft Office 365 tools.
- Track project deliverables, milestones, dependencies, risks, and action items.
- Ensure proper communication and coordination across project teams.
- Monitor project activities and follow up with stakeholders to ensure commitments and deliverables are completed.
- Assist with operational processes and activities aligned with SRE best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, automation, and operational processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) .
- Experience with automation tools, automation processes, and process improvement initiatives .
- Strong understanding and experience with incident management and change management .
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills .
- Strong organizational, coordination, and project-management skills .
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities .
- Experience creating, maintaining, and managing documentation using Microsoft Office 365 .
- Experience managing projects, tracking deliverables, and providing regular status updates.
- Ability to coordinate across multiple technical and business teams.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Approximately 6+ years of overall professional experience preferred , with relevant experience considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a large enterprise or federal/government environment.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional technical projects.
- Familiarity with IT service management and operational processes.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement and automation programs.
- Strong ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with distributed teams.
On-Call Requirement
- Participation in an on-call rotation approximately once every 4-5 weeks is required.
- Candidates should be comfortable supporting incident response and operational activities during their assigned on-call rotation.
Location Requirement
- Candidates should be located near one of the designated 12 federal locations associated with the project.
- Local and nearby candidates are strongly preferred based on project requirements.
- Specific location requirements may be confirmed during the interview/recruitment process.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- The ideal candidate is a technically strong SRE professional who also has excellent project coordination and stakeholder-management capabilities. They should be comfortable balancing technical troubleshooting, automation, incident/change management, documentation, and project coordination while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Knowledge:
- Comprehensive knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area.
- General knowledge of System operations, policies, procedures and technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience.
- Effectively communicates with clients and other resources to update and maintain progress status. Provide input / status updates to senior leadership and executives during project design, build, and testing phases.
- Demonstrating a proven track record of identifying repetitive manual tasks and implementing automation solutions to streamline workflows, reduce operational burden, and improve productivity.
- Applying best practices in incident response, including proactive monitoring, rapid triage, and effective communication during on-call rotations. Ensuring that incidents are managed efficiently to minimize impact and restore services quickly.
- Actively resolves and tracks the completion of events, changes, problems, incidents, and requests within appropriate process guidelines.
- Coordinates business requirements and scope, and participates in cross-functional teams to ensure product adherence to business requirements.
- Leading efforts to diagnose and resolve complex production issues. Conducting thorough post-mortem analyses to identify root causes, document lessons learned, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Leveraging experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering to build and maintain robust systems.
- This includes designing for reliability, scalability, and maintainability, as well as collaborating across teams to drive operational improvements.
- Maintaining a strong understanding of security principles and integrating them into operational processes.
- Ensuring compliance with security standards, proactively identifying vulnerabilities, and fostering a culture of secure operations.
- Works under direction and guidance in planning details of procedures and methods to attain definite objectives. Makes decisions within established or widely accepted standards. Achieving assigned/planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, training, business principles, and practical experience.
- Experience w/ Agile methodology following SAFe.
- On-Call rotation will be required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
