Job Opportunity

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Cath Lab to join our team. This position offers a dynamic work environment with day shifts available for a 40-hour work week, structured as four 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, with a random day off during the week. Candidates must be flexible regarding holiday rotations and on-call requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
• Assist in various procedures within the Cath Lab, including structural heart and electrophysiology cases.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain optimal patient outcomes.
• Float across all Des Moines campuses to similar units as needed.
• Precept and mentor new team members as required.

Shift Requirements

• Days: Four 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.
• Rotating on-call schedule with one night per week and every third weekend from 7:30 PM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday.
• Must be willing to float among campuses within close proximity.
• Expected to work 1-2 of the following summer holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of current Cardiac Cath/CCL experience is required.
• Experience with structural heart procedures is highly preferred.
• Electrophysiology experience is also highly preferred.
• Travel nursing experience is advantageous.
• Strong experience in a circulating role is required.
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license is required. Documentation is necessary.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are mandatory.
• References from direct supervisors or managers within the last 24 months are preferred.
