See Link to the ProSidian website at Description\n\nProSidian Seeks a Fire Protection Program Improvement Support Specialist - Engineering (EN102) as an Engagement Team Member generally located across the Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina, supporting Environmental Management Sector requirements to support an engagement for a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRMC]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy.\nJOB OVERVIEW\nProvide services and support as an Engineering Functional Area Fire Protection Program Improvement Support Specialist (EN102) under Labor Category: Fire Protection Engineer (FPE) at Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina. Fire Protection Program Improvement Support Specialist - Engineering (EN102) work collaboratively as part of the ProSidian Engagement Team as Exempt personnel. Dedicated Planned Labor Hours (DPLH) of 2080 Straight Time (ST) Estimated Annual Quantity (Hrs. Per Yr.) | 200 Overtime Time (OT) Estimated Annual Quantity (Hrs. Per Yr.). \nThis is a Labor Hour Subcontract or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Position, and ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian-employed W-2 Position. The role(s) are located at Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina with identified Work Site Address (121 Richland Ave E, Aiken, SC 29801, USA) providing Engineering functions working to provide BOA Support Services for multiple department requirement Service Areas (SA) for Savannah River Remediation LLC (The SRMC/LW Contractor) at the U.S. Department of Energy | Savannah River Site (DOE-SRS) in Aiken, SC to support the evolving needs of the organization.\nRESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:\nFire Protection Program Improvement Support Specialist - Engineering (EN102)\nServe as a Fire Protection Program Improvement Support Specialist (Fire Protection Engineer) in support of ongoing operations at Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC in Aiken, South Carolina. The primary purpose of this position is to perform internal fire protection-related assessments and observations; analyze the results of both internal and external fire protection-related assessments; and work with Fire Protection Engineers (FPE), Design Authority Engineers (DAE) and Facility Operations personnel to effect resolutions to identified issues, gaps, and vulnerabilities in the Fire Protection Program. \n\n Perform internal fire-protection assessments and observations.\n Analyze internal and external assessment results to identify program issues, gaps, vulnerabilities, and improvement opportunities.\n Review and extract relevant information from assessments, program documents, procedures, and technical reports with little or no supervision.\n Develop, maintain, and administer fire-protection databases covering Standards/Requirements Identification Documents (S/RIDs), NFPA requirements, and the Fire Protection Database System (FPDS).\n Perform causal analyses using Causal Analysis System/Technique (CST) inputs and other assessment sources to support root-cause remediation and proactive corrective actions.\n Collaborate with Fire Protection Engineers, Design Authority Engineers, and Facility Operations personnel to resolve identified deficiencies.\n Revise or develop procedures, training protocols, and implementation actions supporting compliance with DOE-STD-1066-2012 and SRS Site Manual 2Q. \n\nSTANDARD DUTIES:\n\n Analyze, review, assess, and extract relevant information from assessments, program documents, procedures, and technical reports with little or no superv1s1on\n Support development, maintenance, and administration of Fire Protection-related databases regarding S/RID and NFPA requirements, including, but not limited to, the Fire Protection Database System\n Perform Causal Analyses using CST and other assessment-related sources to assist in effectively designing and implementing both root cause-based remediation and proactive-based resolution\n Work with FPEs, DAEs, and Operations personnel to revise/develop procedures, revise/develop training protocol, and develop/recommend other implementation actions as needed to support compliance with DOE-STD-1066-2012 and Site Manual 2Q.\nQualifications\n\nDesired Qualifications For Fire Protection Program Improvement Support Specialist - Engineering (EN102) (EN102) Candidates:\n\n Prior experience implementing S/RID requirements, including Safety Basis requirements, at the Savannah River Site.\n Prior quality-assurance auditor experience.\n Prior causal-analysis experience.\n Conduct of Operations training.\n Operational Readiness Review experience or comparable readiness-assessment experience.\n Familiarity with electronic document-control and configuration-management systems used in nuclear or chemical facilities.\n Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with engineering and operations organizations.\n\nEducation / Experience Requirements / Qualifications\nBachelor of Science or Associate Degree in Business, Communications, Education or Engineering, with 10 years equivalent experience in project I technical support or document /configuration control in/ nuclear/chemical facilities/environment. \n\n Bachelor of Science or Associate Degree in Business, Communications, Education, Engineering, or a related discipline.\n Minimum of 10 years of equivalent experience in project or technical support, document control, or configuration control within a nuclear-facility, chemical-facility, or comparable highly regulated environment.\n A combination of qualifying education and directly relevant experience must demonstrate the technical depth required for the assignment.\n Prior experience implementing S/RID requirements, including Safety Basis requirements, at the Savannah River Site.\n Prior quality-assurance auditor experience.\n Prior causal-analysis experience.\n Conduct of Operations training.\n Operational Readiness Review experience or comparable readiness-assessment experience.\n Familiarity with electronic document-control and configuration-management systems used in nuclear or chemical facilities.\n Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with engineering and operations organizations.\n\nFire Protection Program Improvement Support Specialist - SRS utilizes various work schedules, including 5/8s (8 hours/ day; five days per week), 4/1Os (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). A 4/10 schedule is preferred.
