Position Summary Flagship Pioneering is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing a semi‑monthly payroll for 600+ employees including exempt and non‑exempt employees. Collect and review intern/Co‑Op timesheets, maintain the company’s payroll system, audit the system for completeness regularly. Answer employee inquiries about pay checks and ensure strict compliance with company and regulatory payroll requirements. Specific Responsibilities Process semi‑monthly payroll for multiple companies Ensure ADP system is up to date with employee changes Process new hire information to ensure electronic on‑boarding is complete and I‑9 is completed timely Collect timesheets for interns/co‑ops managing the approval process Process terminations and ensure final payments are completed in line with State requirements Provide backup to Flagship Labs payroll team as needed Reconcile differences in payroll liability each pay period Create GL file each pay period and perform any updates needed throughout the year Provide ad‑hoc payroll reporting as requested by stakeholders Maintain electronic employee files Audit payroll system quarterly to ensure it is in line with the HRIS and Benefits systems Prepare benefit invoices monthly for Labs and FSP Qualifications Degree in accounting, business, or a related field is preferred Minimum of 2 years’ experience processing payroll for multiple companies Knowledge of ADP WFN preferred Strong organizational and time management skills Experience processing multiple payrolls at the same time Detail oriented and strong communication skills Equal Employment Opportunity Flagship Pioneering and our ecosystem companies are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity or Veteran status. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
