Outpatient Registered Nurse, Neuro Multiple Sclerosis

Job Description Summary Monday‑Friday, no weekends and no holidays, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. We are seeking an experienced RN to join our Neurology team specialized in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) care at Riverside. In this fast‑paced outpatient setting, you will provide clinic support during scheduled appointments, manage prior authorizations for medications and procedures, assist with disability paperwork and durable medical equipment needs, support infusion approvals and denials, triage patient calls and electronic messages, assess symptoms, and collaborate with providers to determine appropriate next steps, including urgent visits or escalation of care. Responsibilities Provide general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse health‑care settings. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients. Carry out tasks related to prior authorizations, disability paperwork, durable medical equipment, and infusion approvals. Triage patient calls and electronic messages, assess symptoms, and collaborate with providers to determine next steps. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, revise care plans based on evaluative data, and document outcomes. Actively engage in process‑improvement activities to meet quality, safety, and financial goals. Maintain focus on safety, quality and efficiency following High Reliability Organization principles. Minimum Qualifications Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio (or a multi‑state compact). Associate’s Degree in Nursing. BLS certification. Work Shift Day shift, scheduled weekly hours: 40. Department Neuro MS (Neurology, Multiple Sclerosis).
