Customer Operations Coordinator

Interested in joining an innovative, international trading firm? We’re looking for a Customer Operations Coordinator to join our Commercial Sales team and support Traders and Assistant Traders with customer service, order management, and logistics across sales and purchases. This position is hybrid, based in Getzville, New York. In this role, you will: Handle all customer service responsibilities on assigned contracts and customers. Handle phone and email orders, inquiries, and questions. Online file and customer management. Code invoices, freight, warehouses etc. Prepare and handle documents (letters of credit, bills of lading, invoices etc.) Liaise with warehouses to get material packaged, shipped and blended according to customer specifications. Work with trucking companies to get freight rates and book shipments. Problem solve and come up with solutions if any concerns come up. Grasp product knowledge to make independent decisions based on customer requirements. Ability to understand A/R and the importance of keeping our customer current. Ability to understand our billing and invoicing system. Help to manage inventory and manager positions. Assist in covering team member responsibilities when they are out of office. Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive: Microsoft- Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint Experience using IBM i (AS400) menus and applications Associate or bachelor’s degree: Accounting, Business or Supply Chain degrees preferred. Strong accounting and mathematical abilities Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skills Must take ownership of responsibilities and tasks. Must be a self-starter, proactive and inquisitive. Must be able to multi-task and handle many responsibilities at one time.
